Job Description
- Automation Strategy & Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test frameworks and scripts (e.g., UI, API, database) using industry-leading tools.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Integrate automation tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to enable rapid feedback and continuous deployment.
- Test Planning & Execution: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test data for new and existing products.
- Non-Functional Testing: Perform and optimize Performance/Load testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and Security testing (e.g., basic vulnerability scanning, OWASP Top 10) to ensure application resilience.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution.
- Mentorship: For senior candidates (5+ years), mentor junior QA staff and drive process improvements across the entire QA lifecycle.
- Test Automation: Expertise with modern automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Katalon Studio).
- Programming: Strong proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language suitable for automation (Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- API Testing: Hands-on experience testing REST/SOAP APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar frameworks.
- Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps principles.
- Tools: Experience with Version Control Systems (e.g., Git) and Defect/Test Management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Cloud: Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and testing cloud-native applications.
- Databases: Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for back-end data validation.
- ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced Level).
- Experience in specific high-demand German industries (e.g., Automotive, Fintech, E-commerce).
