Job Title: Database Developer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Snowflake and Azure Database Developer to design, develop, optimize, and manage modern data platforms. This role requires strong experience with Snowflake, Azure SQL Databases, and data integration tools. The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver scalable and high-performance data solutions. Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience with Snowflake development and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database , Azure Synapse Analytics , and Data Factory .
• Expertise in SQL programming , performance tuning, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Experience in handling semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Avro, etc.) .
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts , star/snowflake schemas , and data modeling .
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Shell .
• Experience in CI/CD integration for data pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps .

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Power BI , Sigma , or other reporting tools.
• Knowledge of YugabyteDB or other distributed SQL databases.
• Exposure to Rocket ETL , Qlik Replicate , or similar replication tools.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep.
• Understanding of Data Lake architecture and integration with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) .
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data models, schemas, views, and stored procedures.
• Implement and optimize Azure SQL , Azure Synapse , and Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data using SQL, Python, or Data Factory.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance tuning.
• Manage data integration from various sources including APIs, flat files, and cloud storage.
• Implement data security, governance, and access control within Snowflake and Azure environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues across Snowflake and Azure DB workloads.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI teams, and DevOps for seamless pipeline integration and deployment.
• Ensure compliance with data standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Participate in code reviews , documentation, and agile sprint planning.
