Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager with a strong hands-on background in Java, Python, and Generative AI to lead the development of cutting-edge AI-driven platforms and products. This role requires both strategic project leadership and deep technical expertisesomeone who can manage teams, drive execution, and contribute directly to the codebase when needed.
You will work closely with AI/ML researchers, data scientists, backend engineers, and DevOps teams to build and deploy scalable Generative AI models and applications. The ideal candidate has experience managing AI/ML projects, working with LLMs (Large Language Models), deep learning frameworks, and cloud-based AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Own the end-to-end delivery of Generative AI-driven platforms and products.
- Define technical roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring timely execution.
- Lead Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
- Ensure AI/ML models integrate effectively with backend services, APIs, and front-end applications.
- Drive experimentation and iteration for optimizing Generative AI models.
Hands-On Technical Contribution:
- Write, review, and optimize code in Python and Java to support AI model integration and backend development.
- Assist in fine-tuning, optimizing, and deploying LLMs (GPT, BERT, Llama, etc.).
- Debug and troubleshoot AI/ML pipelines, API integrations, and cloud-based deployments.
- Implement scalable microservices, data pipelines, and real-time AI inference systems.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
- Partner with AI/ML engineers, backend developers, and cloud architects to design robust architectures.
- Guide teams on best practices for LLM deployment, model optimization, and GPU utilization.
- Ensure data privacy, compliance, and ethical AI principles in all AI-driven applications.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to align AI solutions with strategic goals.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify and mitigate AI/ML-specific challenges, such as bias, hallucination, and model drift.
- Ensure reliability and scalability of AI workloads, addressing latency and inference efficiency.
- Develop contingency plans for model failures, cloud resource limitations, and security risks.
Process Optimization & Best Practices:
- Establish MLOps best practices for continuous training, monitoring, and deployment of AI models.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for both backend services and ML models.
- Implement best practices for AI-driven APIs, prompt engineering, and model tuning.
Required Qualifications & Skills: Technical & Hands-On Expertise:
- 8+ years of experience in software development and technical project management.
- Strong coding skills in Python and Java (must be comfortable coding when needed).
- Experience with Generative AI models, LLM fine-tuning, and AI/ML pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, etc.)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and GPU-based AI workloads.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and real-time AI inference pipelines.
- Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed AI systems.
Project Management & Leadership:
- Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and deliver AI-driven solutions at scale.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a willingness to code and troubleshoot.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between AI/ML teams and business stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with transformer-based models (GPT, Llama, BERT, T5, etc.).
- Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and RAG-based architectures.
- Experience in fine-tuning LLMs using LoRA, PEFT, or other optimization techniques.
- Certifications in PMP, CSM, SAFe, AWS/Azure AI/ML Specializations are a plus.
