Job Description
Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer responsible for managing cloud-based infrastructure, Unix/Linux environments, automation, and deployment processes across Azure, GCP, and hybrid systems.
Experience : 6- 8 years
Location : Mumbai / Pune / Bangalore
Mode of Work : Full time -hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cloud infrastructure technical support (Tier 2/3).
- Develop automation tools and scripts to optimize infrastructure operations.
- Manage Unix/Linux system configurations and troubleshoot environment issues.
- Plan, document, and deploy applications across Unix/Linux, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams for maintenance and cloud-based deployments.
- Analyze release and deployment processes to i dentify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Manage hardware/software resources and coordinate downtimes with infrastructure groups across Production and Non-Production environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline (BE/MCA); Master preferred.
- 68 years of experience in Production Support, Application Management, or Cloud Infrastructure Support roles.
- Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, fast learner.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux Administration.
- Proficiency in Shell, Python, Batch scripting (mandatory).
- Strong Oracle Database experience.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- PowerShell nice to have.
- Basic software development experience in Java or Ruby (secondary).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP; AWS is a plus)
Good to have skills:
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Basic software development exposure in Java or Ruby.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or Git.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security best practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code ( IaC ) frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
