About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Ruby on Rails Developer with deep expertise in backend development, cloud deployment, and modern web technologies. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in agile environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using Ruby on Rails
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication across services
- Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver responsive, dynamic user experiences using React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Hands on experience with clients on project communications
- Optimize application performance and scalability across Heroku and AWS environments
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker
- Manage databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL with a focus on performance tuning
- Work with Heroku resources such as Bonsai Elasticsearch, Heroku Connect, Scheduler, Redis, and Dynos
- Leverage AWS services including S3, EC2, RDS, SQS, SES, SNS, API Gateway, CloudFront, and Lambda
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development

- Familiarity with Elixir and Node.js is a plus
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
- Experience with performance optimization, containerization, and CI/CD workflows
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
