Job Title: Policy Admin System Lead Architect
Function: Insurance
Location: Noida
Purpose of Job:
The PAS Lead Architect will be responsible for the design, development, and support of Policy Administration System (PAS) platforms within Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life insurance domains. The role involves Architecting, Developing, customizing and extending Newgen PAS solutions. The role would involve an indepth knowledge of the modern day PAS, including the Operation processes, microservices architectures, APIs and Database design of the PAS system.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architect the Newgen PAS system for scalability, composability and deployment on Newgen Low Code platform.
- Develop and customize PAS application including policy configuration, workflows, business rules, and integrations for P&C and Life insurance products.
- Implement enhancements and new features within PAS platforms to support underwriting, policy administration, billing, and claims processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to understand detailed requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support PAS integration with other insurance systems, third-party applications, and digital channels to enable end-to-end policy management.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables and system stability.
- Participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and follow best practices in development and deployment.
- Stay updated with the latest PAS platform features, tools, and industry trends to recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 10 to 17 years of hands-on experience as a PAS Developer in insurance, specifically with P&C and/or Life insurance policy administration systems such as Guidewire, Duckcreek, TCS Bancs, or Azentio, DXC, Sapians etc.
- Proficiency in PAS architecture, database structure etc.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policy lifecycle processes, including quoting, issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and claims.
- Experience with integration technologies such as REST/SOAP APIs, XML, and relational databases.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and lead complex technical tasks.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across diverse teams and with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Certification in Guidewire, Duck creek, or equivalent PAS platforms.
- Experience working in multi-line insurance environments dealing with both P&C and Life products.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory compliance and domain-specific workflows.
