Job Description
SAP BTP UI5 Dashboard-JD
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP UI5 Developer with strong hands-on expertise in developing dashboard applications using SAPUI5/Fiori, BTP Cloud Foundry, CAP/OData services and SAP integration technologies.
The ideal candidate will design, develop, and enhance cloud-based analytical dashboards and custom Fiori applications deployed on SAP BTP.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
Develop and enhance SAPUI5/Fiori custom applications with responsive design.
Build interactive dashboard components including charts, KPI tiles, tables, filters and drill-down views.
Implement SAP Fiori UX standards across dashboard screens.
Backend & Integration
Develop and consume OData / REST APIs from SAP BTP, S/4HANA, ECC or 3rd-party systems.
Work closely with backend developers to integrate CAP (Node.js/Java) services into UI5 applications.
Configure and utilize SAP BTP Destination Service, SAP Connectivity and XSUAA for authentication.
SAP BTP Development
Deploy UI5 applications on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and manage HTML5 Application repository.
Work with SAP Launchpad Service for tile configuration and role-based access.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup for BTP applications.
Performance & Quality
Optimize UI5 applications for load time, performance, and usability.
Ensure code quality through JS best practices, ESLint and reusable UI5 components.
Conduct technical troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution.
Collaboration
Work with functional teams (SD/WM/MM/TM/Finance/PP) to understand dashboard requirements.
Assist in preparing technical specifications (TSD/FS).
Coordinate with security & basis teams for BTP roles, trust configuration and deployments.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
46 years of experience in SAPUI5 & Fiori application development.
Strong expertise in SAPUI5 MVC/MVVM, XML views, controllers, fragments, custom controls.
Hands-on experience building dashboard/KPI-driven UI5 applications with charts (VizFrame, Microcharts, etc).
Experience deploying applications to SAP BTP Cloud Foundry.
Good understanding of SAP BTP services:
HTML5 Application Repository
Destination Service
XSUAA
SAP Launchpad
Cloud Foundry environment
Backend & Integration
Experience consuming OData v2/v4, REST APIs, CDS-based services.
Knowledge of SAP CAP (Node.js/Java) is an advantage.
Familiarity with SAP Gateway services and S/4HANA integration.
Programming Skills
JavaScript / ES6
XML / JSON
HTML5 / CSS
Git, CI/CD concepts
Basic Node.js exposure
Other Skills
Strong understanding of Fiori UX guidelines.
Experience with debugging tools (Chrome DevTools, SAP WebIDE/Business Application Studio).
Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have (Optional)
Experience with SAP HANA Cloud, CDS modeling, or CAP advanced concepts.
Exposure to Event Mesh, BTP Workflow, or Integration Suite.
Knowledge of SAP modules like TM, MM, SD, PP, or Finance.
Experience in Agile/Scrum processes.
Educational Qualification
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
SAP certifications in SAPUI5/Fiori/BTP are a plus.
