Job Description
- Seeking an experienced SAP Asset Accounting (AA) and Lease Accounting professional to support a large-scale Oil & Gas SAP implementation project. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP FI-AA, practical knowledge of SAP Lease Accounting (IFRS 16/ASC 842), and a strong understanding of the complex asset management requirements of the energy sector.
- Lead and support end-to-end SAP FI-AA and Lease Accounting solution design, configuration, and deployment for oil & gas clients.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements related to asset lifecycle, capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and lease treatments.
- Configure Asset Accounting sub-modules, including integration with other SAP modules (FI, CO, PM, RE-FX, MM, PS).
- Implement and operationalize SAP Lease Accounting in compliance with IFRS 16/ASC 842, tailoring the solution to upstream, midstream, or downstream business processes.
- Conduct workshops, solution walkthroughs, and user trainings; develop test scripts, and manage integration and UAT cycles.
- Work closely with technical teams for RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) developments and data migration activities.
- Provide expertise in asset retirement, transfer, and revaluation processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues post go-live; offer ongoing functional support and process improvement recommendations.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation: process flows, functional specifications, and end-user manuals.
