About the Role
We are seeing for a talented Sr. Software QA (Performance) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong expertise in Performance Testing for Web and APIs. Person will be responsible for carrying out all performance testing activities (requirement Understanding, dynamic script creation, Execution, monitoring, result analysis) while working and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements and ask right questions to remove ambiguities from the requirements
- Implement right load testing strategy for the module/projects under testing
- Estimate and plan for load testing of the project
- Setup load testing environment
- Create dynamic load testing script using JMeter/Load Runner for API and Web applications
- Intermediate SQL proficiency. Ability to understand the Stored Procedures and write queries for the test data extraction and manipulation
- Execute scripts on different environments
- Monitor the server/application performance during load testing
- Analyse the results and share the same
- Mentor Junior team members
- Defect Management and status reporting
- Identify and raise risks on time
- Collaborate with QA team, Developers, product team and other cross-functional teams
- Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Load testing
- Proficiency in:
- Using Jmeter and Load Runner for Load Testing
- Database Validations (Cosmos DB)
- API Testing (including Postman)
- Performance result analysis
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Defect Reporting and Tracking in tools such as JIRA, TFS
- Ability to Prepare test metrics and reports
- Experience of working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Automation testing (Selenium, Playwright or any other tool).
- Create and Review Test Plans for manual testing
- Create/review and Execute manual Test Cases
- Apply right test design techniques for testing requirements
