Function : Private Label
Role : Product Development - Foods
Job Description:
- Product Development and Sustenance for various Food products for Private Labels.
- Manage existing products from the point of view of sustained compliance, cost, productivity and quality improvement and overall product integrity.
- Responsible for the entire product journey - idea, formulations, recipes, 3P identification / qualification, costing, scale-up and sustenance.
- Ensure 100% product regulatory / quality compliance from all aspects - the formula, pack declarations, product quality, etc.
- Vendor Management work closely with 3P manufacturers, identifying/developing new vendors.
- Supplier Interface Development of RM/ingredient suppliers and ingredients for overall product quality improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends and competitive data to identify opportunities and make recommendations for maximizing revenue & profitability.
Candidate profile:
- Thorough experience on product formulations, product development with deep understanding of recipes.
- Understanding the behaviour of ingredients used in the formula as well as ingredients use as a aid to processing.
- Strong Product Development and Quality orientation to deliver superior quality products.
- Some exposure to food QA/QC protocols, testing parameters, regulatory guidelines and other such critical product aspects.
- Understanding of analytical test methods (chemical / instrumentation).
- Understanding of the innovation process; successful record of new product introductions and scale-up would be preferred.
- Experience in vendor management vendor selection, development, capability, audits, etc.
- Experience in working with other partners flavour houses, RM/PM suppliers, machinery vendors, etc.
-Basic understanding of food hazards and its control. Awareness on application HACCP principle.
Interfaces:
This person will work closely with multiple teams across the board:
- Internal - quality, packaging development, consumer research, legal, supply chain
- External - vendors/3P partners, RM/PM suppliers
Qualifying Skills:
- M. Tech. in Food Technology/ Agricultural Engg from a reputed University with 3-5 years of relevant experience
OR
- B. Tech. in Food Technology/ Agricultural Engg from a reputed University with 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work seamlessly in cross-functional teams, managing complexity and to get work done
- Should be fine with regular travel
