Role & responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end test automation scripts for web and mobile applications using Python & Selenium/Appium.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks and reusable components.
- Analyze CI/CD automation execution failures, identify root causes, and improve test reliability.
- Own the application from a QA perspective and ensure high-quality automation coverage.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to resolve blockers proactively.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve framework, tools, and automation efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership to the team, review automation code, and mentor junior engineers.
- Work closely with global teams (including US counterparts) and participate in nightly meetings when required.
Preferred candidate profile
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Python-based test automation, with strong hands-on skills in Selenium and automation frameworks.
- Strong expertise in Python programming, OOPs concepts, and test frameworks like PyTest or unittest.
- Experience in web/mobile UI automation and tools such as Selenium/Appium.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, JIRA, etc.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and ability to handle challenges independently.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of owning deliverables end-to-end.
- Ability to lead a team (68 members), provide guidance, and contribute individually.
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with international teams.
