Job Description
- This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business intelligence initiatives
- Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to meet business requirements
- Architect and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power Query
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in Power BI solutions, implementing best practices for data governance and compliance
- Oversee integration of Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms (eg, Azure, Snowflake), and other enterprise systems
- Optimize Power BI performance through efficient DAX queries, data modeling, and report design
- Mentor and guide junior Power BI developers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage Power BI service administration tasks, including workspace management, security roles, and deployment pipelines
- Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and enhancements
- Document technical processes, data models, and report specifications for maintainability and knowledge sharing
- Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft Power BI
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience with relational and cloud-based databases (eg, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake)
- Proven experience leading BI projects and mentoring team members
- Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
