Job Description Commvault Backup Administrator
**Job Location:** Hyderabad / Belapur
**Total Experience:** Minimum 3 years on Commvault Backup Software, Windows OS, Linux OS, and Security.
**Mandatory Certification:** Commvault Certified Professional
**Qualification:** Graduate in IT
Roles & Responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of the Backup Solution in a 24x7 round-the-clock model.
Monitoring and ensuring smooth functioning of the Backup Solution, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring 100% availability of manpower to manage backup services for customer departments.
Configuring backup policies as per the Banks IT Backup and Archival policies for IT applications and scheduling backups.
Adding or releasing storage as per requirements under the Backup Solution.
Scheduling and monitoring backup jobs and performing restores upon requests from Application Owners (AOs).
Monitoring running backups, coordinating with stakeholders, and troubleshooting backup failures.
Backup job reporting and capacity planning.
Supporting Integrated Business Continuity Exercises (IBCE).
Working with Backup Software Global Support for resolving issues or escalations.
Creating and maintaining asset inventory as per banks requirements.
Creating and maintaining application owner-to-server mapping as per banks requirements.
Performing daily administration tasks on Windows and Linux servers as per Banks requirements.
Security patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation on Windows and Linux servers as per Banks requirements.
Creating and managing quality documentation as advised by the Bank team.
Participating in various audits and other security reviews.Role & responsibilities
