Job Description
- The Test Data Engineer III is accountable for test data availability, security, reliability, and integrity
- within a given IT application domain, and collaboratively across other app domains.
- Essential Functions:
- Perform as a test data subject matter expert (SME) for a domain
- Automate and oversee test data refresh and provisioning processes
- Work collaboratively with customers, business partners, project managers, portfolio leads and
- IT application teams to understand business data requirements
- Perform as a test data subject matter expert for business data requirements, test planning and
- test data solutions for new or existing technologies
- Collaborate with Information Security to triage and perform root cause analysis on data-related
- incidents occurring in the non-production environments.
- Assist Information Security in preventing the introduction of PHI into secure environments and
- eliminating the exposure of protected data to unauthorized sources
- Establish and publish test data management performance metrics
- Lead Test Data Governance sessions
- Maintain test data management s de-identification solution by coordinating additional algorithm
- refinement and testing for new PHI/PII fields
- Oversee file masking solution and evaluate the performance and quality of the transmission
- from raw to masked files for use within protected environments
- Identify and implement optimization for making the test data creation process efficient and
- faster
- Introduce, educate, and train test data management practices to the organization
- Collaborate with Release Management to publish data refresh dates
- Catalog and maintain test data libraries specific for reuse and refinement
- Coordinate and manage vendor relationships
- Perform any other job duties as requested
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Five (5) years of Software Quality, Application Development or Data Science experience is
- required
- Three (3) years hands-on test data management engineering experience required
- Experience in test data management, test strategy, testing planning and execution

- Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Delphix data masking and virtualization, and implementation of a data
- provisioning solution
- Competent with multiple scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, etc
- Familiar with agile, scrum or SDLC methodologies
- Expert-level knowledge, skills and background with Microsoft SQL and Data
- Transmission/integration experience (SSIS)
- Familiar with unstructured, structured, and semi-structured data preferred (Relational
- databases both distributed (SQL Server) and various structured file formats)
- Knowledge of various environmental elements as they relate to testing and test data
- management
- Strong learning competency and ability to teach others
- Testing and technical planning skills with IT architecture design and Application Development
- Basic understanding of PHI/PII Elements and Safe Harbor Standards
- Advanced troubleshooting/problem-solving capabilities
- Background in enterprise data warehouse solution preferred
- Knowledge of the healthcare and managed care philosophy and culture preferred
