Job Description
Role Summary:
Work across Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) to design data models, implement real-time ingestion, configure identity resolution, and orchestrate omni-channel journeys. Own end-to-end solutioning from data pipelines to activation, ensuring governance, privacy compliance, and measurable outcomes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement AEP data pipelines: Sources, datasets, XDM schemas, identity namespaces, and profile stitching.
- Configure AEP RT-CDP: Segments, audiences, destinations (e.g., email/SMS, ad platforms), consent & governance controls.
- Build AJO journeys & campaigns: Triggers, eligibility rules, orchestration logic, templates, personalization, experimentation.
- Integrate event sources (Streaming, batch), Edge implementations, and decisioning.
- Establish monitoring & QA: Data quality checks, segment population, journey performance, deliverability, error handling.
- Collaborate with QA, Analytics, and Marketing Ops; document solutions & runbooks; provide L3 support.
- Ensure privacy/compliance: Consent, opt-outs, data retention, PII handling, and regulatory adherence.
- Optimize performance: throughput, latency, identity match rates, and downstream activation success.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on AEP: XDM schema design, identity resolution, profiles, segments, sources/destinations.
- AJO: Journey design, event triggers, audience eligibility, templates, offers/personalization, throttling, frequency capping.
- Edge Network basics and tag management (Adobe Launch / other TMS).
- Practical experience with JSON, APIs, webhooks, and data transformation.
- Understanding of data privacy, consent frameworks, and enterprise governance.
Nice-to-Have:
- Adobe Target/Offers decisioning, Adobe Campaign integration, message rendering for email/SMS/push.
- Experience with Kafka/Kinesis, Snowflake/BigQuery, ETL/ELT tools.
- Basic scripting: Python/Node for utilities; CI/CD for configuration as code.
- Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs) and cross-channel activation patterns.
Education & Certifications (Preferred):
- Bachelors in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
- Adobe certifications (nice-to-have): AEP Architect, AJO Specialist, RTCDP.
- Privacy certifications (CIPT/CIPP) are a plus.
