Job Description
- Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams
- Assist with system implementations and process improvements
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA or CMA (preferred)
- 5 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong experience with US GAAP and financial reporting
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (eg, NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
