Job Description
Urgent : Production Engineer : Electronics Manufacturing @ Andheri (East)
Our client is a subsidiary of a US-based multinational manufacturer.
They support key markets including industrial, medical & commercial applications. As a part of the global manufacturing network, the Mumbai facility continues to support customers worldwide with reliable capabilities & engineering expertise.
General
- Candidates with higher relevant experience may be considered for senior positions
- Work from Office , 6 days / week & having alternative Saturday off.
- Transportation facilities available , from nearest railway station i.e. KanjurMarg, Ghatkopar , Andheri etc.
Location: SEEPZ , Andheri (East) , Mumbai
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/BE (Electronics / Mechanical)
- 3-6 years experience in Electronics Manufacturing industry
- Optimizing & overseeing the Surface Mount Technology production process to maximize efficiency, quality & output.
- Managing equipment : PCB assembly (SMT pick-&-place, reflow ovens, screen printers), Testing (oscilloscopes, multimeters, AOI systems) & production tools (soldering stations, wire strippers etc.)
- Ensuring accurate, high-speed component placement, minimizing downtime through maintenance, & controlling materials to reduce defects, often facilitated by real-time monitoring & MES/ERP systems
Job Profile
- Lead daily production operations,
- Optimize, Mixed Technology (Hybrid) assembly lines , combining both technologies on a single board , SMT for the majority of small, high-speed components & PTH for heavy-duty connectors, switches or power components that require extra stability, PCB assembly, testing equipment, & electronic components.
- Ensure IPC quality standards
- Troubleshooting equipment, reducing downtime,
- Mentoring & managing electronics technicians : Technical guidance, hands-on training, & career development support to build a skilled, motivated team. Effective strategies include establishing structured mentorship programs, providing continuous training (such as on soldering, testing, & troubleshooting), & fostering a positive, collaborative environment with clear communication
- Implementing Lean Manufacturing Techniques (5S, Kaizen) & ERP systems.
- Experience with PLC or specialized electronic manufacturing machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Execution: Plan & supervise daily production schedules to meet delivery targets.
- Process Optimization: Improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, & optimize assembly line workflows (SMT/PTH).
- Quality Control: Ensure products comply with quality standards & safety guidelines.
- Troubleshooting: Identify & fix production issues to reduce equipment downtime.
- Team Leadership: Train & mentor production staff on new methods & safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including assembly instructions, bill of materials (BOM), & production reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-volume, precision electronics production.
- Knowledge of automation tools & process improvement methodologies.
Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication & team management capabilities
