GCP Cloud Architect SaaS Platforms (Full Ownership Role)

Role Summary

The GCP Cloud Architect owns the end-to-end cloud architecture, reliability, and performance of large-scale, latency-sensitive SaaS platforms on Google Cloud Platform. This role is accountable for design decisions, platform stability, scalability, and cost efficiency in environments handling high data volumes and mission-critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Own cloud architecture for large, distributed SaaS platforms on GCP
Design and govern low-latency, high-throughput architectures
Own HA, DR, backup, and multi-region strategies
Ensure cloud designs meet strict performance, availability, and security SLAs
Act as final authority for cloud architecture standards and patterns

Core Experience & Expertise

812+ years in infrastructure / cloud architecture roles
5+ years owning production GCP environments at scale
Deep expertise in:

GCP VPC design, routing, IAM, Load Balancing
GKE and compute performance tuning
Multi-region, low-latency architectures

Proven experience handling large data sets and latency-sensitive applications

Preferred

SaaS platforms in regulated or healthcare environments (EHR, RIS, PACS)
GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification
