JD: Tech Operations Engineer IoT / Platform Operations (L1)

Number of positions: 3

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 25 years

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Rotating shifts (5 days/week) Work from office all the 5 days

Role Summary

We are looking for a Tech Operations Engineer to support IoT platforms across Fleet, Energy, and Solar domains. This role focuses on platform operations, issue analysis, and bulk operational activities. It is a technology-led operations role .

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle L1-level support for IoT platforms via ticketing portal and email
  • Perform bulk operational activities such as:
    • Device onboarding and registration
    • Asset and customer tagging
    • Configuration updates and validations
  • Analyze issues to identify whether they are:
    • Platform-related
    • Device-related
    • Network-related
  • Perform first-level technical troubleshooting and RCA using portals, logs, dashboards, and data checks
  • Coordinate with customer L2 teams for escalations with proper analysis
  • Update tickets, documentation, and knowledge base regularly
  • Support multiple IoT platforms after cross-training

Required Skills & Experience

  • 45 years of experience in:
    • Tech operations / NOC / SOC / IoT Ops / SaaS support
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Ticket-based support models
    • Incident and problem management
  • Comfortable working with:
    • Dashboards, logs, Excel
  • Good written communication skills (email-focused support)
  • Willingness to work in shifts

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to IoT / Telecom / Energy / Fleet platforms
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Jira Service Management, or similar tools
  • Basic understanding of APIs, device telemetry, or network concepts
