Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Technical Leadership- Lead and evolve TWS administration and scheduling operations across global teams.- Act as the technical authority for TWS architecture, standards, and best practices.- Represent workload automation in leadership forums and strategic planning sessions.- Mentor team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement and first-time-fix resolution.
Technical Expertise- Architect, administer, and optimize job scheduling frameworks using TWS.- Perform platform upgrades, patches, and migrations.- Drive automation of operational, administrative, and monitoring tasks using scripting.- Support and enhance cloud-native and hybrid scheduling solutions (AWS/Azure).- Troubleshoot complex scheduling issues and provide expert-level root cause analysis.
Operational Excellence- Lead incident, problem, and change management activities with a focus on stability and resilience.- Develop and maintain operational playbooks, service catalogs, and automation standards.- Ensure SLA adherence, service integrity, and platform compliance.- Apply security patches and remediation to address vulnerabilities and audit requirements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management- Partner with engineering, application, and business stakeholders to align scheduling strategies with business goals.- Collaborate with portfolio leads and senior leadership on roadmap planning and capacity management.- Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
Team Leadership- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing TWS administration team.- Promote knowledge sharing, documentation standards, and operational best practices.- Participate in on-call rotations and incident bridge calls as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Education- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
Technical Skills- Strong expertise in TWS / HWA (versions 9.x and 10.x, including DWC) administration and scheduling.- Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, UNIX shell, Perl preferred).- Experience with cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure).- Strong understanding of enterprise job scheduling, automation frameworks, and monitoring.
Leadership & Soft Skills- Proven leadership experience in matrixed, multi-vendor environments.- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and escalation handling skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience- Experience implementing and operating TWS in cloud or hybrid environments.- Designing dashboards and reports for scheduling and application metrics.- Driving automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
Additional Requirements- Ability to work in shifts and participate in incident calls for prompt resolution.- Strong documentation skills for operational procedures and best practices.
