Job Description
- ant manages, analyzes, and reports an organization's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance (GAAP), and financial health. Key duties include reconciling bank statements, preparing balance sheets and income statements, handling tax returns, and managing budgets. They require strong, detailed-oriented skills in accounting software and MS Excel. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, profit/loss).
- Reconciliation: Reconciling accounts payable and receivable, and bank statements.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulations, and GAAP.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Monitoring budgets, forecasting, and analyzing financial data for cost reduction.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Education: B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookups).
- Certifications: CPA or CMA is often preferred.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills.
