The Network Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the network infrastructure for our client. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, performing configuration changes, and providing real-time network troubleshooting and support. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining dashboards, trackers, and reports to ensure seamless network operations.
4-5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, including configuration and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Understanding of switching technologies like STP, RSTP, PVSTP, and Ether channel.
Experience with Cisco Nexus Switches (93210, 93216, 93360) and Cisco Routers (1920, ISR4451-X, ISR4431, ASR1001-HX, ASR 1009X).
Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPsec VPN, GRE, DMVPN) and QoS devices (Packet Shaper, Allot).
Experience with tools like NOM, NA, DCNM, Spectrum, CAPAM, COAX, SolarWinds, and Freeping.
CCNA (R&S) and CCNP (DC) certifications are preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Handle network device life cycle management, including upgrades and decommissioning.
Support network device commissioning processes, asset management, and cable laying.
Assist in network device migration activities and spare inventory management.
Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely installation and reporting.
Monitor and maintain the National Automatic Identification System (NAIS) network and lighthouse devices.
Generate NAIS reports using Solar Wind and Free Ping software on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Real-time monitoring and tracking of vessels in Indian waters.
Handle datacenter network operations, coordinating with customers and vendors for seamless services.
Perform configuration changes within scheduled windows and provide real-time incident resolution.
Maintain network activity trackers, escalation matrices, and incident trackers.
