  • Experience: within 5+ years of experience in End user support as TL
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Data Center (DC) Lead is responsible for end-to-end operations of one or more data centers, ensuring high availability, resilience, security, and compliance of all facilities and IT assets. This role leads a cross-functional team managing facilities (power, cooling), server/storage/network infrastructure, capacity planning, vendor management, and change management, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across 24x7 operations.

  • Customer interface experience (managing expectations; negotiating compromise solutions).
  • Should have good communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment .
  • Experience in team handling.
  • 7+ years in IT support/EUC roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, MDM solutions, and collaboration tools (O365, Teams).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, and VDI technologies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES L2


  • 1) Operations & Service Assurance
  • Own daily DC operations: site walkthroughs, health checks, shift handovers, dashboards, and incident triage.
  • Ensure 24x7 uptime for critical services; meet SLAs/OLAs for incidents, requests, and changes.
  • Oversee on-call rotations and major incident management (bridge facilitation, RCA, corrective actions).
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base; enforce change management (CAB approvals, maintenance windows).
  • 2) Facilities & Environmental Management
  • Manage power systems (UPS, generators), cooling/HVAC, fire suppression, BMS/DCIM monitoring.
  • Coordinate with facilities teams for preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety drills.
  • Track environmental metrics (PUE, temperature/humidity bands, energy consumption) and optimize efficiency.
  • 3) Infrastructure Lifecycle (Compute, Storage, Network)
  • Plan and execute rack & stack, cabling, provisioning, firmware/OS patching, and hardware refresh.
  • Manage capacity for compute, storage, and network, maintaining headroom for growth.
  • Govern standards for server hardening, network segmentation, storage tiers, and performance baselines.
  • 4) Security, Compliance & Audit
  • Enforce physical security (access control, CCTV, visitor logs, escort policy) and logical security (privileged access).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS (if applicable), and internal audit controls.
  • Manage asset lifecycle, CMDB accuracy, labeling, and chain-of-custody for decommissioning & data destruction.
  • 5) DR/BCP & Resilience
  • Own Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy and drills (RTO/RPO targets), site failover playbooks, and redundancy testing.
  • Conduct risk assessments for single points of failure (SPOFs) and implement remediation plans.
  • 6) Vendor, Contract & Budget Management
  • Lead vendor relationships: colocation providers, OEMs (server/storage/network), facilities contractors.
  • Oversee contracts, SOWs, renewals, warranties, and support SLAs; hold vendors accountable via QBRs.
  • Track and optimize OPEX/CAPEX, forecast budgets, and build business cases for capacity expansions.
  • 7) Project Delivery & Transformation
  • Deliver DC projects: new site builds, expansions, technology refresh, migrations, and cloud interconnects.
  • Partner with Cloud, Network, Security, and Application teams for hybrid architectures and connectivity (MPLS/SD-WAN/Direct Connect/ExpressRoute).
  • Drive automation (PXE/MAAS, config management, DCIM integrations) and infrastructure-as-code where applicable.
  • 8) Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team (L1/L2/L3 engineers, facilities techs); set goals, mentor, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, continuous learning, and customer-centricity.
