Job Summary
A Production Engineer is responsible for supporting the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth production operations, maintaining quality standards, and improving efficiency on the shop floor. The role involves coordinating with production teams, monitoring machines, and assisting in process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing daily production activities.
- Monitor production processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned schedule.
- Maintain product quality as per company standards and specifications.
- Support troubleshooting of production issues and machine breakdowns.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for equipment upkeep.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor raw material usage and minimize production wastage.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning.
- Understanding of quality control and safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a factory/shop floor environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Kaizen.
- Basic understanding of machine operations and maintenance.
