Job Description
Location Pune & Mumbai, India (Open to Gurgaon, Chandigarh & Bangalore) Shift 2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST Job SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Power BI Developer responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing data dashboards and reporting solutions. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Power BI and SQL, along with the ability to understand backend data structures, build data pipelines, validate data logic, and collaborate directly with stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.
This is a client facing & hands-on role requiring ownership from data ingestion through dashboard delivery. The candidate will have to manage all client communications and provide regular updates alongwith execution of tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards from scratch based on business requirements.
- Understand backend data models and create/modify data pipelines as needed.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Connect, transform, and model data across multiple tables and sources.
- Perform backend vs. frontend validation to ensure data accuracy and logic consistency.
- Audit dashboards regularly to ensure data integrity and correct business rule implementation.
- Work directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and implement feedback.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and proactively identify root causes.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data modelling, visualization, and performance optimization.
- 5-7 years of experience in PowerBI & SQL.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modelling, Power Query).
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data validation.
- Basic working knowledge of Snowflake (querying, understanding schemas, tables).
- Good understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines.
- Experience developing dashboards end-to-end independently.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to audit and validate data across systems.
- Good communication skills with ability to interact directly with clients.
- Experience working in client-facing roles.
- Exposure to large datasets and performance optimization techniques.
- Basic understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
