Job Description
Role & responsibilities
HC Charging Solutions Specialist 5+ Years
Mechanical Product Design | Automotive | EV Charging connection | HV | Plastics | DFM | Tolerance stack-up | Thermal | Harness | CAD
- Knowledge of automotive electrical connection system
- Awareness of different types of connections
- Knowledge of different automotive connector standards (JASO/ISO/DIN/USCAR/AIAG etc.)
- Electromechanical product Design knowledge & know-how
- Knowledge of electrical system design & its integration.
- Material Selection (Resin, Metal, Rubber etc)
- Thermal management
- knowledge of 3D software (Solid Works /Catia V5/ NX)
- Product Design & Development (NPD- New Product Development Cycle)
- Knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Up, VAVE etc.
- Knowledge of W/H, Components, Sheet Metal, Rubber & Plastic Parts.
- Having experience in component Manufacturing (Injection Moulding, Stamping, Casting, Machining etc.) & Assembly processes
- Designing and integrating charging systems for electric vehicles, including both AC and DC charging solutions
- Selecting appropriate charging inlets CCS, Chademo, NACS, GBT etc . based on vehicle compatibility and charging standards.
- Coordinating with customer & finalize specifications of charging inlet, propose technical solution.
- Integrating smart charging technologies- illumination feature to show charging status, PCB for thermistors LV connections,
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to charging system integration.
- Adhering to Indian standards for EV charging, including those related to communication protocols and charging interfaces.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, product engineers, and manufacturing teams.
- Working with customer/OEM & charging station service providers to ensure seamless integration and operation of charging systems.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in EV charging technology and standards.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency, performance etc.
- Contributing to the development of new features and products related to EV charging
