BI Analyst Reporting & Data Quality
A Full-service marketing agency, specializing in face-to-face marketing and sales campaigns, with well-
known clients is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence and Financial
Planning & Analysis team to manage sales data integrity and produce actionable analytic reporting. This
role requires skills in business, reconciliation, research, data validation, and analysis. The Business
Intelligence Analyst will report directly to the Business Intelligence Manager and FP&A Team and engage
with finance, accounting, management, clients, sales, and independent contractors. The company is
based in Newport Beach, California. The hours worked for this role will align with US time zone.
The duties for this position are described below.
Key Responsibilities
Data Quality & Auditing
- Conduct regular audits of source data to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and gaps.
- Ensure stored data integrity by validating data transformation processes and identifying
discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain data quality monitoring dashboards and alerts to detect errors and
anomalies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement data validation checks and enforce best
practices.
Data Governance
- Work with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and troubleshoot ETL failures
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and CoE Standards
- Business requirement gathering and translate needs to help develop data analytic platform
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
- Define and document data requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs
- Expectation Management
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in BI analysis, data quality, or related roles.
- Exposure to SQL for data exploration, auditing
- Experience with Tableau
- Good understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Uphold Company CoE Standards across all BI reporting
Degree & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, Economics, Finance, CS or other related field
- Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification is highly preferred
