Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• 4+ years of experience as aData Engineer, with strong exposure toGCPbased data platforms
• Handson experience withGoogleBigQuery, including data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning
• Strong experience inbatch and streaming data pipelinesusingDataproc, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer (Airflow)
• Experience working withGCP servicessuch as Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage,BigQuery,Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Functions
• Strong programming skills inPythonandSQLfor data processing and transformation
• Experience in buildingendtoend data ingestion pipelinesfrom multiple source systems
• Good understanding oftelecom data domainssuch as CDRs, network events, customer, usage, and billing data (Vodafone preferred)
• Experience working inAgile delivery modelswith geographically distributed teams
• Knowledge ofdata quality, data validation, and reconciliation frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GCP monitoring/logging tools
• Strong communication, analytical, and problemsolving skills
• Design, build, andmaintain scalable data pipelineson Google Cloud Platform for Vodafone programs
• Develop andoptimize BigQuerydatasets, views, and queriesfor analytics and reporting use cases
• Implementbatch and realtime ingestion pipelinesusingDataproc, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub
• Orchestrate workflows usingCloud Composer (Airflow)
• Perform data transformations, cleansing, and enrichment usingPython and SQL
• Ensuredata quality, reliability, and performanceacross pipelines
• Work closely with architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Support production deployments, monitoring, and issue resolution
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
