Position Overview (UK shifts: 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM IST)


The Resource Operations Consultant supports efficient delivery across the business by combining strong project operations ownership with hands-on support for day-to-day, lower-complexity resourcing decisions. This role bridges the gap between coordinator-level execution and senior resourcing leadership by taking accountability for core operational workflows (project set-up, reporting, system and data hygiene, freelancer and SoW administration) while also supporting routine resourcing activity across practices.

The role provides interim coverage for Senior Resourcing Managers when required, handling resourcing decisions with guidance and support from resourcing leadership (Resourcing Director/Senior Director) alongside ongoing day-to-day responsibilities. Success requires someone who learns quickly, exercises sound judgement within clear guardrails, communicates confidently with stakeholders and delivers consistently accurate outputs.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Resourcing Support (Low Complexity) -

  • Support Senior Resourcing Managers with routine resourcing activity across practices (e.g., straightforward allocations, short-term coverage, simple backfills, extensions, and resource swaps).
  • Triage incoming resourcing requests: clarify requirements, confirm timelines and constraints, propose workable options and progress requests to closure.
  • Maintain accurate bookings and allocations in relevant systems and ensure updates are communicated clearly to stakeholders.
  • Identify coverage risks early (e.g., gaps, timing conflicts, and skill mismatches) and escalate appropriately.

Interim Coverage for Senior Resourcing Managers (with leadership guidance) -

  • Provide interim coverage during Senior Resourcing Manager absences, ensuring resourcing decisions continue to move forward and stakeholders remain supported.
  • Make resourcing decisions within agreed parameters, actively using leadership guidance to manage prioritisation, trade-offs and higher-impact situations.
  • Keep resourcing records current and ensure continuity across urgent priorities while maintaining day-to-day operational delivery.

Project Operations Ownership

  • Own project operations workflows including project set-up, data accuracy, project planning hygiene and compliance across enterprise systems.
  • Partner with Project Leads and PMs to ensure project records are complete and current to support delivery, resourcing visibility and reporting accuracy.
  • Run QA checks (e.g., data health reviews) and drive resolution of issues, reducing rework and escalation.

Freelancer and SoW Administration

  • Manage operational execution for freelancer workflows (SoWs, renewals and expiry tracking, record maintenance), coordinating inputs and proactively managing timelines.
  • Troubleshoot common issues, resolve gaps quickly, and escalate complex cases as needed.

Systems Support and Enablement

  • Act as an operational point of contact for enterprise system queries (how-to support, access and process questions, troubleshooting).
  • Support onboarding and enablement by documenting process steps and contributing to simple training materials and guides.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring operational friction points and suggest improvements (templates, SOPs, automation opportunities, clearer ways of working).
  • Contribute to improving consistency, quality and reliability across resourcing and project operations.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Other Skills Education:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Relevant experience in resourcing and staffing operations, project operations, workforce operations, or professional services operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience producing or QAing operational reporting and maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Experience using enterprise systems for project planning, resourcing, time recording, or CRM/PSA tools; comfortable supporting end users
  • Practical understanding of resourcing concepts (allocation, cover, backfill, prioritisation, utilisation and capacity basics).
  • Awareness of operational controls and compliance expectations (accurate records, timely updates, audit-ready documentation).
  • Learning agility: ability to quickly learn new processes and apply them accurately.
  • Judgement and escalation discipline: confident making routine decisions and knowing when to involve leadership.
  • Stakeholder management: clear communicator who can manage expectations and drive inputs.
  • Operational excellence: strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Data confidence: strong Excel skills and ability to handle datasets, validate outputs and identify anomalies.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
