Senior Test Automation Engineer
Hyperworks Imaging is a cutting-edge technology company based out of Bengaluru, India since 2016. We are building disruptive and transformative products and solutions in diverse verticals ranging from Finance to Energy.

The following position is for our client working at the intersection of alternative assets, cryptocurrencies and precious metals. It is a full time position to support teams in the US and requires immediate joining.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team of our client within a fast-paced financial services environment. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks that ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our mission-critical platforms. This is a fully remote position.
Company Context
Our client operates a 24/7 precious metals trading platform serving institutional clients and requires seamless coordination between development, operations, and business teams to maintain platform reliability and deliver continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright and Cypress
- Write clean, maintainable automation code in C# following best practices and SOLID principles
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Perform API testing and validate complex financial workflows including payments, trading, and reporting systems
- Champion quality across the SDLC by identifying gaps in test coverage and driving continuous improvement
- Lead test planning, risk assessment, and sign-off activities for major releases
- Mentor junior QA engineers and conduct code reviews of test scripts
- Work alongside security and compliance teams to ensure testing aligns with financial regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA, SOX, PCI-DSS)
- Produce and maintain clear test documentation, reports, and dashboards for stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in test automation, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for browser automation
- Proficiency with Cypress for component and E2E testing
- Expert-level coding skills in C# (.NET ecosystem)
- Solid understanding of the financial services domain banking, payments, trading, or similar
- Experience with REST/GraphQL API testing (e.g., Postman, RestSharp)
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow or Cucumber
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation in financial systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance/load testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling)
- Knowledge of OWASP security testing practices
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
- Experience with contract testing (Pact)
- ISTQB certification or equivalent
