About the job Automation and ETL tester Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Automation and ETL Tester with 5-7 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in functional and automation testing , expertise in RDBMS (preferably DB2) , SQL , ETL testing , and experience with Python programming and Unix shell scripting . Prior experience in the financial services domain , especially investment banking, is a plus. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional and automation testing of applications and backend systems.
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure data integrity and application functionality.
• Develop and maintain test scripts using automation frameworks/tools (any automation tool is acceptable).
• Perform ETL testing using BI/ETL tools to validate data pipelines, transformations, and loads.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and backend testing.
• Develop and use UNIX shell scripts for batch processing and automation tasks.
• Create reusable test data, test plans, and test reports.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards and project requirements are met.
• Work on Python scripts for automation tasks, validation, and tool integration.
• Identify and report bugs, and ensure timely resolution by working closely with the development team.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) .
• Follow best practices in QA processes and contribute to process improvements.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience in the financial services domain, especially investment banking.Familiarity with ETL/BI tools like Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.Experience with test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or TestRail.Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
