Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced professionals for a vehicle program sourcing and development role in the automotive domain. The role involves end-to-end ownership of part sourcing, supplier development, and techno-commercial decision-making to support new product development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Development:
- Finalization of SoR, drawings, and technical feasibility in coordination with engineering teams
- Supplier technical evaluation and sign-off ensuring compliance with program requirements
- Ensure part development readiness up to PPAP and SOP stages
Techno-Commercial Management:
- Drive achievement of Total Cost of Product (TCP) targets
- Conduct SBC and quote synthesis with supplier inputs (cost, tooling, investment)
- Identify and manage cost trade-offs across commodities at vehicle level
- Ensure alignment between internal cost targets and supplier quotations
Supplier & Commercial Management:
- Support supplier panel finalization in coordination with sourcing teams
- Ensure onboarding of only technically and commercially qualified suppliers
- Manage supplier capacity validation against program volumes
Program Execution:
- Ensure timely development and delivery of parts within budget and quality targets
- Track and ensure successful PPAP completion and handover to quality and supply chain teams
Business & Strategy Inputs:
- Support project budgeting and business case preparation
- Provide feasibility inputs for system-level targets
- Participate in make vs buy decisions in alignment with program goals
Desired Profile:
- 8 to 12 years experience in automotive sourcing / NPD / supplier development
- Strong techno-commercial decision-making capability
- Experience in vehicle-level commodity sourcing
- Good cross-functional coordination skills (R&D, suppliers, manufacturing)
