Job Description
Role Description:
- This position is to execute the estimation activities pertaining to new part builds per APQP processes that include identification of bill of materials, Effort estimation, preparations of Collateral Documents & support new product development of Wire harness assembly, Electrical panels & Racks.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
1. To execute the technical estimation activities in line to the Aerospace APQP phase 1 & 2 process steps in collaboration with the CFT. Adhere to a rhythm that confirms to
- Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM), error free BOM that captures all requirements.
- Collaborate closely with customers to address and resolve queries related to the technical data pack.
- Ability in estimating labour hours and evaluating overall effort requirements for tasks and projects.
- Identify appropriate tools, fixtures, and mating parts required for link looms and test cables.
- Identify Key Characteristics, Critical Items, Functional Test and Fixture/Jig requirements
- Identify qualified/approved suppliers for each part on BOM per customer QPL/ASL
- Support proposal submission - technical proposal, supplier statement of work review etc.
2. Exhibit significant in-depth knowledge on Materials, Key Characteristics of parts, processes, techniques, methodologies, tools and equipment used with an enhanced focus on cost, safety, quality. Implements industry standards, best practices within the domain.
3. Stay abreast of new technology and initiate introduction of new materials, tools, Test equipment and process automation, towards improving quality and productivity enhancement.
4. Demonstrate ability and flexibility to manage multiple and significantly complex projects, RFPs independently with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
5. Risk and opportunity Management: Support actions to minimize risks. Ensure the company and customers' intellectual properties are protected
