Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Identify suitable test cases for automation vs manual testing
• Define automation strategy, scope, and test coverage
• Select appropriate automation tools and frameworks
• Design and maintain automation frameworks (Page Object Model, DataDriven, Hybrid)
• Develop reusable test components and utilities
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and robustness of test suites
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines
• Create, enhance, and execute automation scripts
• Automate functional, regression, smoke, and sanity test cases
• Validate UI, APIs, databases, and backend services
• Execute tests across multiple environments, browsers, and devices
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools
• Provide detailed test reports and execution results
• Retest fixes and perform regression testing
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Enable continuous testing
• Monitor test results and improve pipeline efficiency
• Support automated deployments with quality gates
• Automate API testing using tools like REST Assured or Postman
• Validate database updates using SQL queries
• Verify data integrity and backend functionality
• Perform servicetoservice testing in microservices architecture
