We are Hiring for Assistant Manager - Sourcing, WW
Job Description:
- Job Context
This job involves on time sourcing of quality materials from a diverse pool of vendors within the PC-MRP range to ensure proper inventory is maintained to mitigate any business challenge.
Major challenges in this job are:
- Finding right vendor for right product with right price and with required manufacturing capacity
- Sometimes, a lot of extraneous factors delay the time and action calendar eg: material quality, fabric rejection, process delay. Getting on time delivery with right quantity is a major challenge.
- This job is very dynamic. The incumbent needs to keep a tab on cost, product, new product development etc.
2. Principal Accountabilities
Accountability
Supporting Actions
Sourcing the product
Understanding the product.
Checking the existing vendor base.
Identification of proper sourcing points to initiate product development, costing, sampling.
Reviewing the cost.
Assessing the sample.
Getting the time and action calendar prepared.
Placing the Purchase Order and getting the production started
Getting the time and action calendar validated.
Releasing the Purchase order in time with correct price, qty & delivery
Validating the time and action calendar on weekly basis.
Follow up on raw materials for smooth flow
Pre-Production Sampling
Co-ordinate with sampling units of external vendors, internal technical and design teams for approval of pre-production samples.
Co-ordinating the pre-production meetings
Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendor for final green signal required for commercial production
Production follow up
To track production output on daily basis to ensure timey inwards- to visit factories whenever needed to follow bulk productions
Ensure serviceability
To keep a tab on serviceability reports from warehouse and work with vendors to bring in goods to improve serviceability
