- Job Description: Project Manager Ground Mount Solar Power Project Location: Mumbai Department: Project Management Experience: 5+ years in solar power project execution Education: B.Tech/B.E in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering (MBA is a plus) Job Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering ground-mounted solar power projects within scope, timeline, and budget. This role requires coordination with multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth execution and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end project management for ground-mounted solar power projects, from feasibility study to commissioning up to Substation Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure adherence to engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) schedules. Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success. Technical & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects comply with national and international solar power standards and guidelines. Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement and execution. Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance. Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met. Construction & Site Supervision: Oversee site activities, ensuring proper installation of solar panels, inverters, transformers, and other infrastructure. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical challenges. Ensure proper documentation, including DPRs (Daily Progress Reports) and compliance reports. Testing, Commissioning & Handover: Oversee system testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization. Ensure all punch list items are addressed before project handover. Provide post-installation support and performance monitoring. Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of solar PV technology and ground-mount installation processes. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Knowledge of electrical system design, power evacuation, and substation integration. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
