Job Description
- Minimum Qualification: Metallurgist Experience: 10+ Years Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance and Control: Establish and implement quality control procedures and standards for the foundry process. Monitor and inspect raw materials, intermediate products, and finished castings to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Process Optimization: Analyze and improve metallurgical processes to enhance product quality and reduce defects. Implement best practices and innovative techniques in casting and heat treatment processes. Testing and Certification: Oversee chemical, mechanical, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify material properties and performance. Ensure products meet international standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO) and customer-specific requirements. Defect Analysis and Corrective Actions: Investigate casting defects and implement root cause analysis (RCA) methods. Develop and enforce corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, testing results, and process audits. Prepare and submit regular quality reports to management and customers. Compliance and Audits: Ensure adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001 and industry-specific certifications. Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits by customers or certifying bodies. Team Leadership: Lead and train the quality assurance team, ensuring skill development in quality and metallurgical practices. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across departments. Customer Interaction: Address customer complaints and quality-related queries effectively. Coordinate with clients to understand quality expectations and provide technical support as needed. Vendor Quality Management: Evaluate and approve suppliers based on material quality and performance. Monitor supplier performance and implement quality improvement plans if necessary. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Ensure all quality processes comply with safety and environmental regulations. Promote a safe working environment in the foundry operations.,
