Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled and innovative Embedded Systems Engineer to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing the core embedded systems that power our automated culinary kiosks, including PCB design, microcontroller programming, and system integration. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize PCBs for controlling various motors and actuators in our robotic food preparation system. Program and integrate multiple microcontrollers to manage different subsystems within the kiosk. Develop and maintain firmware for the central control unit's microprocessor, focusing on user interaction and overall system coordination. Create robust communication protocols between the central control unit and various PCBs/robotic components. Implement and optimize real-time control systems for precise and efficient food preparation. Collaborate with robotics and AI teams to ensure seamless integration of all system components. Develop and implement power management solutions for 24/7 kiosk operation. Design and implement security measures to protect the kiosk's embedded systems from potential threats. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide technical support for deployed systems. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automated system, suggesting and implementing enhancements. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer, or related field. 2+ years of experience in embedded systems development Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and microprocessors Experience with PCB design and prototyping Strong understanding of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.) Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers and microprocessors Knowledge of power management techniques for embedded systems Understanding of IoT technologies and implementations Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics control systems Familiarity with AI/ML integration in embedded systems Knowledge of food service equipment or similar mechatronic systems Experience with Linux-based embedded systems Understanding of FDA or other food safety regulations as they apply to automated food preparation,
