- Hardware Product Manager Location: Delhi, India (On-Site/Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time Company Overview Barsys is redefining the cocktail experience by merging robotics, AI, and IoT to create the future of at-home and hospitality mixology. Our flagship product, Barsys 360, combines precision engineering with smart software to deliver high-quality, automated cocktails. As we expand our operations, we are looking for an experienced Hardware Product Manager to lead the development and execution of our next-generation hardware products in our Delhi, India location. Position Summary The Hardware Product Manager will oversee the entire hardware product lifecycle, from concept, design, and prototyping to manufacturing, launch, and post-market optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware development, mechanical and electrical engineering, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance. This role requires collaboration with engineering, industrial design, software, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product development and execution. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Development Define and execute the hardware product roadmap, aligning with Barsys global strategy and market needs. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback collection to drive innovation. Work closely with leadership to refine product positioning and go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Hardware Development & Manufacturing Lead the development of mechanical, electrical, and firmware systems, ensuring seamless integration with software components. Manage relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics partners to optimize production efficiency. Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation, ensuring product reliability and performance. Implement design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles to improve scalability. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with software and firmware teams to ensure smooth hardware-software integration. Partner with industrial designers to optimize product aesthetics and user experience. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to define product messaging, pricing, and launch plans. Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance Ensure products meet industry regulations and certifications (BIS, CE, FCC, RoHS, etc.). Lead testing and validation processes to maintain product quality and minimize failure rates. Monitor customer feedback and real-world product performance, implementing necessary improvements. Continuous Improvement & Scalability Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high product quality. Work on supply chain optimization to ensure efficient scaling of production. Stay updated with emerging technologies and market trends to drive future product innovation. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience in hardware product management, preferably in consumer electronics, IoT, robotics, or connected devices. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems engineering. Experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs) and global/local supply chains. Proven ability to manage hardware-software integration in IoT or connected devices. Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance (BIS, FCC, CE, UL, RoHS, etc.). Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance cost, quality, and time-to-market. Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities and aggressive timelines. Preferred Skills & Competencies Experience in robotics, automation, or smart appliances. Knowledge of cloud-connected IoT devices and embedded firmware. Expertise in design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Passion for consumer technology and innovation.
