Job Description
Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Minimum 10 + years of experience in Infrastructure domain with 7+ years in Hitachi SAN Products, BROCADE / CISCO Switches and additional desired skills on IBM & DELL PMAX Storage
- Expert in FCP & iSCSI protocols
- Expertise in Hitachi Hitachi VSP, VSPG series, G5600
- Hitachi Proficient to create and manage Parity Groups, Storage pools (HDT and HDP), Resource groups.
- Proficient with HCS, Storage Navigator, Ops Center
- CLI & GUI skills to manage Storage systems
- Skills to create and manage Shadow image, Thin image, True copy and HUR
- Replications on Hitachi models. (HORCM)
- Solid understanding of Provisioning and Replication technologies
- Zoning, ISL, upgrades & troubleshooting
- Expertise determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
- Proficiency to facilitate discussions with stakeholders and internal/external partners to understand scope, expectations, technical content and business processes/requirements
- Solid understanding of storage Administration environment with work management, performance management and implementation.
- Experience in Disaster recovery and Replications with the ability to upgrade, install and migrate storage products.
- Proven experience on Hitachi storage functionality and architecture.
- Additional Desired Storage experience:
- Familiarity of IBM SAN products like DS 3000, 4000, 5000,8000 Series, Storwize, A9000, A9000R, V7000, V9000, SVC and XIV.
- Familiarity in Provisioning and Replication (Global Mirror and Metro mirror) technologies.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Familiarity in Provisioning and Replication (Global Mirror and Metro mirror) technologies.
- Knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture with experience with AWS and Azure is a bonus
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities
- Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
