Job Description
- As part of the Finance team, your primary focus will be on delivering top-notch standards in reporting, financial planning, and finance processes to support the bank in making informed business decisions. You will play a crucial role in providing insights and analyses related to product development, customer profitability, capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services. Your responsibilities will include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and conducting trend analysis on performance indicators. You will be required to perform detailed variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide explanations and recommendations to the management. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of annual audited financials under Indian GAAP, internal management reports, and presentations. Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies will be a key aspect of your role. You will actively participate in the annual audit process by collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation. Staying updated on technical accounting pronouncements, implementing new accounting standards, and contributing to the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems and processes will also be part of your duties. Collaboration with other departments to gather and analyze financial data, preparation and analysis of capital adequacy under BASEL-3 and Pillar 3 reporting, as well as the preparation of various returns including DSB Returns and Form-A, will be integral to your responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the Finance Department of a bank or non-banking finance company in a similar capacity. A Chartered Accountant qualification is preferred along with a strong understanding of banking products, accounting norms, and regulations. Your ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential. Prior experience in the banking industry, familiarity with prevailing accounting standards, and knowledge of RBI framework will be advantageous in fulfilling the requirements of this role. This is a full-time position located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, with a focus on delivering high-quality financial services to support the bank's strategic objectives.,
