Job Description
- As a Senior Lead Analyst in the accounts receivable team at Principal Financial Group, you will be responsible for handling customer accounting for insurance products and services. Your role will involve working independently, utilizing advanced analytical skills, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements. It is essential for you to have a strong understanding of US GAAP and apply this knowledge to financial reporting. You will be expected to work the 3rd shift (05:30 pm to 02:30 am IST) and should possess a process-oriented mindset to identify efficiencies in existing processes. A key part of your responsibilities will include researching and identifying root causes of issues, planning, problem-solving, and delivering accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should have a background in accounting with a graduation, post-graduation, or CA/CMA Inter qualification, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are crucial for interacting with customers effectively. Additionally, you must demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, technology proficiency (especially in Excel), and a proactive approach to process improvement. As a valuable member of the team, you will collaborate with auditors, possess a strong F&A domain knowledge, and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Your role will require you to understand the business and products of the company, apply this knowledge to financial reporting, and independently respond to senior management inquiries.
