Job Description
- As a Senior Developer at TransUnion, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions using a variety of technologies such as Java, Big Data frameworks, AI/ML concepts, and cloud platforms. Your contributions will be vital to the architecture, development, and deployment of data-driven applications. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications utilizing Java and related technologies. - Work with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, and Scala to process and analyze large datasets. - Develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage. - Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries across platforms such as BigQuery, Athena, Spark SQL, and Snowflake. - Create and manage RESTful APIs and microservices using Java full-stack technologies. - Utilize Python for scripting, data analysis, and reporting. - Contribute to the development and implementation of AI/ML models and solutions. - Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments like AWS and GCP. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation efforts. - Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth. - Stay updated with the latest trends in Big Data, AI/ML, and cloud computing. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. - Contribute to improving development processes and best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 8+ years of software development experience. - Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming. - Extensive experience with Big Data technologies. - Strong SQL and database platform skills. - Solid Python programming skills for scripting and analysis. - Experience with Java full-stack development and Spring Boot. - Familiarity with Cloud environments and services like AWS and GCP. - Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and algorithms. - Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes. - Experience with version control systems and agile methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. In addition to the above requirements, the role prefers candidates with a Master's degree in Computer Science, experience in containerization technologies, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, data visualization tools, exposure to R language, and knowledge of big data security and governance. Please note that this is a hybrid position requiring performing job responsibilities both virtually and in-person at a TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week.,
