Job Description

Position: Commis Chef

Outlet: FOO Asian Tapas

Company: Pebble Street Hospitality

Location: Rajaji Nagar, Bengaluru

Preferred: Hospitality freshers or equivalent.


Core responsibilities:


  • Food preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and prepare fresh ingredients; weigh and mix ingredients; and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Station maintenance: Set up and break down the assigned work station, keeping it clean and organized throughout the shift.
  • Hygiene and safety: Follow all company and safety regulations, maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, and report any hazards or maintenance issues to a supervisor.
  • Daily procedures: Perform tasks such as temperature checks, labeling and dating food, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
  • Stock management: Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, monitor stock movement, and help with inventory control.
  • Team support: Assist senior chefs with various tasks and dishes, and help with plating and presentation of food.

Essential skills and attributes:

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
  • High standards of cleanliness and organization.
