Perform calibration of electric vehicle (EV) control system functions for performance, drivability, and range optimization.
Lead Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) functional calibration and ensure compliance with system architecture and requirements traceability.
Develop and validate features to enhance drivability, range, performance, and perceived quality.
Execute vehicle-level simulations and calibrations for torque path, thermal management, and energy management.
Conduct subjective and objective assessments of drivability and vehicle dynamics parameters.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (architecture, software development, validation) to achieve calibration and simulation goals.
Perform pre-homologation tests and support homologation activities.
Critical Must-Have Deliverables
Hands-on experience in EV calibration methodologies and execution for torque, pedal mapping, creep control, adaptive cruise control, and energy management.
Proficiency in CAN tools (Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA) for diagnostics and calibration.
Ability to perform coastdown measurements and apply energy management principles.
Knowledge of diagnostic protocols and implementation through production.
Good-to-Have Deliverables
Experience in ABS/ESP intervention calibration and speed limitation strategies.
Exposure to optimization techniques for drivability and range improvement.
Familiarity with homologation standards and certification processes.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in EV calibration, vehicle testing, and validation.
Industry Preferred
Automotive OEM R&D and Tier-1 System Design Houses (e. g. , Bosch, Continental, Delphi, AVL, FEV).
Qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and in teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
