Job Description

Job Purpose:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. This role is key in driving the talent strategy and organizational development to support business goals, helping to foster a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Support:
    • Work closely with leadership teams to understand business goals and challenges, providing HR solutions to drive business performance.
    • Partner with senior leadership to define workforce needs and implement talent management strategies.
    • Advise on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning.
    • Provide strategic input on employee engagement, retention, and culture.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to both managers and employees, offering guidance on HR-related issues such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
    • Address employee grievances, ensuring that issues are resolved in a fair and consistent manner.
    • Foster positive employee relations to maintain a high level of employee engagement.
  • Performance Management:
    • Support managers in performance management, including setting expectations, providing feedback, and managing underperformance.
    • Drive the performance review process and ensure that employees are given the tools and feedback they need for development.
    • Assist in creating individual development plans (IDPs) and identify potential for internal growth and promotion.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention:
    • Collaborate with recruitment teams to ensure effective talent acquisition strategies.
    • Provide input into workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
    • Assist in designing and implementing employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and retain top talent.
  • Learning & Development:
    • Identify training needs and work with L&D teams to create programs that align with business objectives.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to managers and employees to support career growth and skill development.
    • Assist with leadership development and provide guidance on leadership best practices.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Provide guidance on compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring that the company is competitive within the market.
    • Advise on salary benchmarking and assist with performance-based compensation adjustments.
    • Ensure that compensation practices align with organizational goals and comply with legal requirements.
  • HR Policies & Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and regulations across the organization.
    • Act as a change agent to ensure that policies are updated and in alignment with the business needs.
    • Educate managers and employees on HR policies and ensure compliance at all levels.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting:
    • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to measure effectiveness and implement HR solutions.
    • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve HR strategies and business outcomes.
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to talent, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Diversity & Inclusion:
    • Promote and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
    • Support leadership in creating an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and ensures equal opportunities for all employees.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or HR certifications are a plus).
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on business partnership, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Core HR Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of HR processes including performance management, recruitment, compensation, and talent management.
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and HR compliance.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze HR data and leverage insights to drive business decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and employees.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage and drive HR initiatives and projects across the business.
  • Technology: Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with HR data analytics tools.
