Storage and Backup Architect @ Hexaware Technologies

Job Description

The Storage Architect will lead the design, planning, and implementation of storage solutions to support the migration of virtual machines (VMs) from one data center to another. This role requires expertise in storage technologies, data management, and integration with virtualization platforms to ensure data availability, performance, and security throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess existing storage infrastructure and develop a comprehensive storage architecture plan for the target data center.

Design and implement scalable, high-performance storage solutions compatible with virtualized environments.

Collaborate with virtualization, network, and infrastructure teams to align storage requirements with VM migration objectives.

Plan and execute data migration strategies, including data replication, synchronization, and backup for VMs.

Ensure storage systems meet performance, capacity, and availability requirements during and after migration.

Develop and enforce storage-related policies and best practices, including data protection and disaster recovery.

Configure and optimize storage arrays, SAN/NAS devices, and storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS).

Monitor storage performance and troubleshoot issues arising during the migration process.

Document storage architecture, configurations, migration procedures, and lessons learned.

Provide post-migration support to ensure storage environment stability and optimal performance.

Evaluate and recommend storage technologies and tools to improve future migrations and infrastructure.
