Job Description
- Role Overview: As a Pharmacy Specialist at CIPHER, your role will involve counseling patients to create better health outcomes. You will also be responsible for advertising the service and providing quality leads. Additionally, you will need to understand oncology medications and dispense drugs as prescribed by the treating oncologist. Maintaining patient care databases, the unit dose area, and the drug mixing room will also be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring competent dispensing of medications, verifying findings and reports, and upholding organizational standards for quality service are essential aspects of this role. Key Responsibilities: - Counsel patients to create better health outcomes. - Advertise the service and provide quality leads. - Understand oncology medications and dispense drugs as prescribed by the treating oncologist. - Maintain patient care database by entering new information. - Maintain the operation of the unit dose area and drug mixing room. - Work on competent dispensing of medications per procedures and laws. - Verify findings and reports for backing up data. - Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards. - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops. Qualification Required: - Degree in Pharmacy or related field. - Experience in oncology pharmacy is preferred but not mandatory. - Strong communication and counseling skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications. - Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
